In this workshop we will learn the basics of manual binding by building a book with Japanese stitching.
This technique is incredibly famous around the world for its simplicity of execution and a very special aesthetic result. Let’s learn different ways of working with paper, understanding its peculiarities, from bending to drilling and sewing. In addition, this course is the foundation for any more elaborate and complex binding that you want to learn in the future, meaning it is ideal for beginners and passionate about paper!
The course will last 3 hours and after that you will never look at a book in the same way! Let’s learn how the architecture that exists behind its construction works.
The value is 35 € and includes all the necessary materials and tools.
Prior knowledge is not required. They are all very welcome!
