Repair Café Lisboa:

Small household appliances, clothes, toys, jewelry, computers … You have things like these broken in the house that maybe can still be arranged, but do not know how or you do not have a way? Then enjoy the Repair Café in Lisbon! There will be coffee, tea and cakes to make everything even more enjoyable.

To participate by bringing an object to repair, fill out the registration form below, with your data, what you want to repair and a brief description of the problem:

To facilitate the repair, bring, if possible, the manuals and / or materials that may be needed.
The Repair Café Lisboa is an event organized by volunteers, public and free.
The registration presupposes the acceptance of the Rules listed below and only one object to be repaired per participant is admitted.

Rules:
– The work done at the Repair Café is free and made according to the availability of volunteers with experience in repairs.
– Whenever possible, each person will be encouraged to repair their own object with the help of a volunteer.
– It is not always possible to make the desired repairs, or to rebuild disassembled appliances.
– Whoever brings an object to arrange does it at his own risk. Volunteers are not responsible for the repairs in which they participate, nor for repaired items that do not function properly after being taken home.
– Repair Café visitors are responsible for removing objects that can not be repaired.
– Repair Café aims not only to stimulate repair and reuse during the event, but also to promote these practices on a day-to-day basis. We do not want to compete with the repair shops that already exist, but we encourage people to use these services.

The Repair Café de Lisboa wants to help end the culture of waste, promoting the sharing of knowledge among citizens who are more aware of the impact they have on the Planet.
The objects that surround us have an environmental (and economic) cost too high to be discarded to the least problem. Instead of throwing away and buying another new one, we should try to repair and reuse it to make it useful much longer, reducing the need for new materials and energy to produce them.
The Repair Café of Lisbon is an initiative of the Circular Economy Portugal and the FabLab of Lisbon.
