There are more than 500 species of carnivorous plants in the world and their ancestors have emerged for at least 40 million years. But, what characterizes these plants? Why do they have to catch insects and other small animals? Let’s discover the various “traps” these plants use to attract and capture their prey, as well as their fascinating survival strategies.
