Closing of the 22° Festival Internacional Balões de Ar Quente- CANCELLED

The balloons will re-color the sky in yet another edition of the International Hot Air Balloon Festival. For the 22nd consecutive year in northern Alentejo, the event brings together participants from various parts of Europe, in an event that attracts thousands of people and starts on November 3rd.

This year, the opening of the festival will take place in Praça do Império, in Lisbon, from 6pm on Saturday, the 17thrd: this event was suppose to be on the 3rd but due to weather conditions was moved to this new date.

On this day, various activities will take place in balloons, such as free climbs and descents, music and wine. There are also Night Glow sessions, until two o’clock in the morning, in a night show that combines light, color and music. These encounters will be prepared by the pilots themselves who keep the balloons stuck a few meters off the ground, where the flames are released rithmically by the burners. Admission is free.
