Birth Talks – LFP Specials

Giving birth is a life-changing event. Every woman who faced this ordeal is a true heroine!
The memories of our births stay with us forever and are shaping our view on life and on how we perceive our self as a woman. Every story is unique and worth sharing! Retelling the story helps us to get a better understanding of what actually happened and what were the lessons we learned. Lessons learned not only on a personal level but also showing us the change that needs to take place in society and the birth world in general. And change starts by sharing and speaking up! Stories inspire and the knowledge we gain from other women able us to make the same or different choices for the future.
At this event, we sit down in Rosanna’s living room with a warm cup of thee and some good snacks. The conversations will be guided in a way that everyone gets the time to tell their story without being interrupted: after the sharing, there will be time for questions and chatting.
All moms and moms to be are welcome: moms with babies and toddler are welcome too, there are plenty of toys to play with.
The event is free and it will be very close to Jardim da Estrela
Rosanna is Dutch and lives in Lisbon since October 2018 together with her husband and her two children (age of 2 and 4). She has a passion for women and the journey of becoming a mother. In 2014 she became a mother herself. Her two births were deeply empowering. Teachings that showed her the real strength of a woman. Rosanna has a bachelor’s in art therapy and she is one of the founders of ‘Seed of Life’ providing holistic prenatal care by offering pregnancy courses, pre-natal and post-natal Kundalini yoga and mother circles.
Giulia is the founder of Lisbon Foreign Parents and Me you and E blog, loves to listen to other women birth stories: she has one 2,5 son, born in Copenhagen and she is curious to learn about the Portuguese way in maternal care but in general about the different practices around the world.
