“Once, twice, three times upon a time … so many times, that the story was forgotten. It is convenient to remember, as, at some moment, Life will whisper into our ears: Hey! Listen to the song from your origin! ”
The concert “The Journey of the Fish Girl into the sea” was conceived in 2012, by the performer Joana Radicchi. Based on a story written by the artist herself, the presentation tells the story of the Fish Girl, who left the world of aquatic beings to live a great adventure on land.
This great adventure is an invitation to dive into deep waters, to remember the gills and fins, to bless the feet and to flow with the path. The show for solo flute and video features the performance of Joana Radicchi, artistic direction of Brazilian actress Nina Rocha, and works by composers Claude Debussy, George Crumb, Mauricio Ribeiro and Leonardo Margutti. The images are from the Mexican painter Angel Ortiz.
