Weekend activities tips families WEEK 35

In the last few months, I’ve been searching for kids and parents friendly event in Lisbon for the facebook group Lisbon Foreign Parents. When you are new in town and you even have children can be difficult to find things to do with them, especially on the weekend.

Here a selection of the events I find interesting or peculiar, for kids but also for adults, that so much deserve some “you” moments from time to time.

The selection is divided into categories and all events have links to buy tickets or get more info.

Museum, Exhibitions, and Atelier for babies and kids

•Urbem Exquis at Garagem Sul – CCB

starting from the surrealist collective method known as cadavre exquis, this activity consist in creating a city of which each participant will design a building without knowing the others builting outcome.

Played against the dreamlike fantasy setting provided by the main aquarium, music will awaken the senses, evoke feelings of love and stimulate your child’s intellect and imagination.

•Mercado Design and Craft

Monthly artisanal and design market held at the lovely Jardim da Estrela: the stalls are mostly local and all handmade brands that includes reversible clothes, home decor and macrame, illustrations, baby toy and clothes, leather shoes and bags, bicycle bags, quilting pieces, succulents and knitted succulent and much more. This weekend is the 12° year celebration of the market.
