Workshops Museu do Oriente – June

Saturday, June 5th, 2021 @ 10:30 - 12:30

€4 – €6

The Education Service’s workshops return in June. It is not just a day, but almost a month of fun games that the Museu do Oriente organizes in Children’s Month to celebrate the little ones. On weekends, mornings are dedicated to the youngest with the Educational Service workshops.

The month of June starts with the “Magias de Primavera” (Spring Magic) shows the surprising transformation of nature at this time of year, in a space dedicated to babies, but where the whole family is invited to explore the Museum through the eyes of those who are starting to discover the world.

Then, you can follow the “Stories with… origami – A Golden Son” which reveals the Japanese tale of Kintaro, the boy who became a samurai, through the technique, also Japanese, of paper folding. In this space, parents and children are challenged to ‘give life’, in origami, to the characters in a story that, in addition to being heard, can also be seen.

Continues with “Spring Crowns” is a session full of colors, textures, and flowers, dedicated to babies from 12 to 36 months, which seeks to promote an enriching experience between parents and children, while building their own wreaths to celebrate the most days. long rays and the sun’s rays.

In a Museum where all religions fit, on Sunday, June 13th, there will be talks about Christianity, in a visit to the exhibitions aimed at children over six years old. In conversation with the pieces, they are introduced to “O Bom Pastor”, in a session that challenges them to stop, observe and ask what else intrigues them.

And it’s tiptoeing, on Saturday, June 19, that kids and adults alike will discover the people and animals that inhabit the spaces of the Museu do Oriente, with the workshop “Feet and Footprints”.

It closes with a golden key, in a surprising experience for the whole family (children from 5 years old), the performative visit “From the Dressing Room to the Stage” invites you to discover the life of a Chinese opera actor. From the long years of training, to the almost magical transformation brought about by makeup and wardrobe before shining on stage, on this visit we will know everything.
