W/E workshops by Quinta Azenhas June

Alex and Dean have created a collaborative garden on their property overlooking the ocean in Azenhas do Mar: the quinta is lovely with the kids, and you can even rent an allotment to grow you veggies!
They are running workshops during the weekend.
This month:
WE WELCOME: Nature Play Collective
Sunday 6th June (3pm to 5pm). Ages 1-7
Collaborators ‘Nature Play Collective’ will host a sensory experience inspired by one of our favourite pollinators – The bee. This workshop will immerse children through their senses in a series of interactive activities and projects that look into the wonder of bees and flowers.
Cost: €18 p/child (sibling discounts available).
WE LEARN: Edible Flowers
Saturday 12th June (10am to 11am and 3pm to 4pm).
An introduction to edible flowers and how to use them, fresh, dried, sugared, infused, or even in jelly and frozen as we make herb infused ice pops and floral jelly.
Cost: €16 p/adult + 1 child (non-members) / €7 p/adult + 1 child (members). Family discounts available.
WE CREATE: Build a Bee Hotel
Saturday 12th June (11am to 12pm and 4pm to 5pm). Ages 4+ (with accompanying adult)
We’ll be building a bug hotel! Create a habitat for beneficial garden insects using natural materials from the garden and learn the importance of some of our key inhabitants. More details to come.
Cost €15 p/adult + 1 child (non-members) / €7 p/adult + 1 child (members). Family discounts available.
WE WELCOME: Erva Moura
Saturday 19th June (7pm to 9:30pm).
A very special sunset event hosted by purveyors of natural rituals ‘Erva Moura’ (https://www.ervamoura.pt/). In conversation and ceremony with fresh herbal organic infusions and herbal preparations. Spaces are limited to just 12 guests.
