Filipe La Féria’s musical based on the tale by Hans Christian Andersen is a wonderful party that appeals to the emotion and intelligence of young spectators: a modern show and creates an interaction across all ages, leaving both children and adults satisfied, being the greatest musical for the whole family ever made in Portugal.
La Féria put all her talent and fantasy in “The Little Mermaid”, a show that articulates performance, music, singing, ballet, acrobatics with wonderful sets and wardrobe, in which, the three dimensions coexist at the same time, due to the sophisticated video system, which is a first for Portugal.
“The Little Mermaid” is the wonderful story of the youngest daughter of the King of the Seas who yearns to turn fifteen to be able to rise to the surface of the water and observe the fascinating world of human beings, earthly creatures that have a soul in addition to their bodies.
Finally the big day arrives. The sea is calm and the little Mermaid sees a ship where a handsome prince sailing far away.
Thus begins one of the most beautiful tales in the history of Humanity, which contains a profound message about one of human beings’ fundamental values: the importance of respecting one’s neighbor’s differences, the gift of solidarity, spirituality, and absolute strength of Love.
“The Little Mermaid” makes the spectator discover a world where the dream never ends.
