O ESTADO DO MUNDO (QUANDO ACORDAS)
Friday, November 12th, 2021 - Sunday, November 28th, 2021
€3 – €7The State of the World is the first of a cycle of two shows intended to reflect on the state of the world: natural, political, geographic, social, historical, economic and human. The first show is aimed at young audiences.
The State of the World explores the cause-effect relationship between small gestures and large consequences. Through household utensils, electronic devices, essential day-to-day goods of all of us who are responsible for climate change, the show will highlight an idea of paradox: between what we defend on this topic and our inability to abdicate from the behavior of the everyday.
On stage, there is only an interpreter and a panoply of utensils, a portrait of our lives, where consumption occupies an unavoidable place. To what extent can our small gestures have big impacts? To what extent can a toaster or dryer be responsible for major natural disasters such as a fire or a sandstorm? To what extent are adding an ice cube to the drink or spreading the bread with butter without consequence?
