MONSTRINHA 2019, the adventure of thinking
The practices of adventure, friendship, laughing, knowing, acknowledgment… are essential to the growth and creation of more thinking, Internationale and dynamic beings.
This is a praxis that we are developing with MONSTRINHA in schools, cultural centers, auditoriums and cinemas, with the tireless support of teachers parents and pedagogues.
We feel today, more than 19 years ago, when we did the first MONSTRINHA, that there is a growing acceptance of animation cinema as a very important art, not only as a playful moment but fundamental for the integration of knowledge, pedagogic, acknowledgment and knowledge thinking.
The growing adhesion of schools, centers, auditoriums, municipalities, festivals and cinemas to the MONSTRINHA project, not only in Lisbon, but in the country and in the world, proves this. If there were doubts, the participation of more than 20 thousand children in 2018, only in the great Lisbon during the 10 days of the festival, and of almost as many throughout the year in Portugal and in the world, are the guarantee that this is a moment the child and youth pedagogical calendar of the city and country.
The films that makeup MONSTRINHA present themes that are important for the growth and development of children and young people. The questions of knowledge, friendship, tolerance, but also of difference and respect for the other are present in the works we have chosen, presented with a great aesthetic and technical diversity.
Films that will create moments of discussion and sharing among young people, but also between them and their pedagogues.
Therefore, participating in MONSTRINHA is an important moment in the school calendar and we want it to continue and grow.
Have a nice and GOOD MONSTRINHA

Every year we create bridges between new and future creators. We create links between great authors and children and young people, enabling a greater understanding of the essence of an art which is fundamental to their future. We are aware that diversity and knowledge make it more difficult to be deceived by less edifying images, concepts and ideas.
