Look at the child (0-6 years old) Montessori Methodology

A true “Montessori” marathon, packed with excellent speakers and interesting themes, open to educators and parents ready to spend a day participating  in 4 workshops.

Maria Montessori was a pedagogue who surpassed her time with a vision about the child. Their methods gave rise to a new pedagogy that is now a reference for many schools.

The workshops are based on the teachings of Maria Montessori and will give you many clues and ways to act in a positive and passionate vision of educating each child.

WORKSHOP 1 (Gabriel Solomon)
Title: Look for the Child
Workshop Description:

The workshop LOOK AT THE CHILD aims to share with teachers and parents the vision of Maria Montessori about the child and how the adult can create the conditions that most favor their development but also those that can hamper. It will address issues such as the importance of protecting the child’s concentration and of respecting his inner teacher.

Teachers, kindergarteners, parents, psychologists, educational assistants, therapists.

WORKSHOP 2 (Inês Goucha Costa)
Title: Look for the Child II

Workshop Description:

In this workshop we will explore the role of observation and recognize it as a key ingredient of the prepared adult. In this way we will understand how we can observe the child, record what we observe and use this record to meet their needs.

WORKSHOP 3 (Gabriel Solomon)

Title: The child knows more
Workshop Description:

The CHILD KNOWS MORE workshop aims to share with teachers and parents the importance of action in child development and the role that the adult can play in protecting the child’s action. It will also address the issue of freedom and limits – what they mean and how limits can be established and communicated to the child.

FINAL SESSION: “Montessori in practice” (Inês Goucha Costa)

At this meeting, the trainer will return to the topics covered throughout the day. From the view of an extract from the film “Le maître est l’enfant”, the participants are invited to reflect on how to carry out, on a daily basis, the information transmitted, whether at home or at school.

This will be the time par excellence of questions and answers, time of dialogue between speaker and audience.
