Introduction to Montessori Pedagogy 0-3 years

This workshop is aimed at parents but also educators, therapists and all those who wish to have a first moment of presentation of the Montessori universe.

GOAL
This workshop is a moment of sharing that allows, more and more, parents and educators to apply Montessori Pedagogy at home and / or daycare centers.
Trainees will have the opportunity to manipulate many of these teaching materials, learn how to build these materials at home and present them to children in a captivating way

PROGRAM
The principles of Montessori Pedagogy
The development of the child: the absorbing mind, the sensitive periods of development.
The importance of the learning environment: “The Nest”, Montessori prepared environment for children from 0 to 16 months; and the “Children’s Community”, Montessori prepared environment for children from 16 months to 3 years of age.
The role of the adult
The pedagogical activities and the main teaching material between 0 and 3 years:
The brain, the hand and the touch.
Practical life: presentation of the themes and pedagogical materials of practical life;
Sensorial: presentation of sensory material, as a way to develop the sensory refinement of the child early, through the senses.
Motricity: the importance of freedom of movement for the development of the baby;
Language: the importance of language stimulation and how to present vocabulary, and pre-reading activities.
Adapt the home with Montessori inspiration.

TRAINER
Sylvia de Sousa Guarda
Clinical and Educational Psychologist
She is the promoter of several creative workshops for children from 1 to 6 years old, and workshops for parents on themes related to parenting, development and education of children.
Graduated in Pedagogy Montessori, aged 0-3 years and 3-6 years, at Montessori International Bordeaux (France), by the training organization Apprendre Montessori, directed by educator Montessori Sylvie D’Esclaibes.
Montessori trainer certified by the training organization Apprendre Montessori.
