Catarina Sobral is recognized as one of the greatest talents of the national illustration. His debut album, GREVE, received a special mention of the 2011 National Illustration Award, and ACHIMPA, his second book, was honored in 2013 by the Portuguese Society of Authors, as Best Children’s Book. In 2014, the time came for international recognition. MY GRANDFATHER, the third book by the author/illustrator, won the prestigious jury of the Book Fair of Bologna, which unanimously awarded the International Illustration Award. In the same year, it would be published EMPTY, a story without text narrated by images. In 2016, SO SO GREAT exchanges for kids one of Kafka’s best-known books, and 2018 is marked as the year of the conquest of the Universe, with the book IMPOSSIBLE.
