Fearing the coming winter’s cold, four fearless vultures fly on an adventure in search of the mythical Plateau Perdido. They have heard the ancients speak of this land of abundance, warmth, and dreams, and know that in order to attain it they must be brave, cunning, and very, very persistent.

In fact, no one has ever seen such a plateau, or even if it is certain that it is real. It is only known that it is located in Portugal, in the mountainous areas of the North, and little else … nothing that would destroy our intrepid group.

Indifferent to the difficulties, Bicas, Balão, Banzé and Bamba get a mysterious ally and leave in an unforgettable adventure.

Without further delays, let’s get on with it – the Lost Plateau awaits them and us too.

This show of animated forms is part of the concern with mass extinction and its consequences on biodiversity.

The characters in this play are national protagonists in the drama of endangered species – the Egyptian Vulture and the Black Stork.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the peninsula was a haven for vultures but its populations declined in the last decades, with a loss of about 30% of the population in Portugal and Spain due to factors such as the degradation of their habitat, human disturbance and persecution. Today they are in danger of extinction: will we know how to save those that remain?
