Weekend tips with the kids LX WEEK 36

The weekend is coming and I am so ready for some exciting activities with my family and friends
Here my usual selection of events that I find interesting or peculiar, for kids but also for adults, that so much deserve some “you” moments from time to time.
The selection is divided into categories and all events have links to buy tickets or get more info: this week we have a very new Good causes category and also a preview of the coming events for the ones that prefer to think ahead in time.

Museum, Exhibitions, and Atelier for babies and kids

•Lu.Ca – Teatro Luis Camoes Opening Season

The Luis Camoes Theater it’s a very new theater entirely dedicated to kids and young people. This weekend it opens its doors for the new season with a very special concert where some of the most famous soundtracks from movies will be performed, like Pink Panther, Gumball, Pirates of Neverland, Simpson and so on.
The concert will be followed by the DJ e radio speaker Pedro Ramos will lead everybody into dancing and moving the entire body.

Free entrance upon getting a ticket: max 2 tickets per person, ticket office opens one hour before the event starts.

•Shadow show at Museu da Marioneta

O, the funambulist it’s a shadow show that use projected images and live music as a narrative language. During the show, different scenography and scenes handmade will be used and built.

•Reading Dangerously by Ileana Rovetta

Reading Dangerously is the very expected premiere of Ileana Rovetta at O’ Galleria Lisboa. Saturday, 8th of September they’ll be showing her beautiful new illustrations at 4.30pm. Don’t be stranger and go talk with Ileana and see her work. ♥

•Free Family Kidding Around Yoga Class

A big colorful festival, that takes inspiration from the religious spring Holi celebration in India, where people get as dirty as possible with colorful powder to celebrate the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships.

•Marcha Mundial do Clima – Lisboa

The 8th of September Lisbon is joining the interantional movement “Rise for Climate” to ask a world free from fossil fuels, where peopel and social justice are above profit.
The goal of the march:
–a fast transition to renewal energies;
– No to new fossil fuels infrastructures: not in Aljezur, nor in Aljubarrota, or anywhere else.
