Lugares limitados. \nORADORA\nSusana Atalaia\, socióloga\, é investigadora no Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa) e membro do Observatório das Famílias e das Políticas de Família (OFAP). Lessons learned not only on a personal level but also showing us the change that needs to take place in society and the birth world in general. And change starts by sharing and speaking up! Stories inspire and the knowledge we gain from other women able us to make the same or different choices for the future. \nAt this event\, we sit down in Rosanna’s living room with a warm cup of thee and some good snacks. The conversations will be guided in a way that everyone gets the time to tell their story without being interrupted: after the sharing\, there will be time for questions and chatting. \nAll moms and moms to be are welcome: moms with babies and toddler are welcome too\, there are plenty of toys to play with. \nThe event is free and it will be very close to Jardim da Estrela \nRosanna is Dutch and lives in Lisbon since October 2018 together with her husband and her two children (age of 2 and 4). She has a passion for women and the journey of becoming a mother. In 2014 she became a mother herself. Her two births were deeply empowering. Teachings that showed her the real strength of a woman. DESCRIPTION:The Positive Birth Movement believes that all women deserve a positive birth. What does that mean? \nA positive delivery experience involves a birth where the woman feels she has freedom of choice\, access to reliable information\, and is in control of her experience\, powerful and respected. A birth in which she can even think with some nervousness\, but without fear or fear\, and then she comes to like it\, and later to remember with pride and pleasure. \nA positive birth experience does not have to be “natural” or “drug-free” – simply choices have to reflect information rather than fear. The Positive Birth Movement puts women at the center\, and as such respects a woman’s human right to choose where and how her baby is. \nYou can have a positive experience in the hospital or at home\, with or without medical intervention. You can have a positive cesarean\, a positive birth in water. A positive childbirth experience means realistically dealing with the issue of childbirth\, with a right to choose\, and feel empowered by your experience. \nThis movement believes that communication is the key to changing birth. DESCRIPTION:Baby Led Weaning comes across a UK Maternal Health Nurse\, Gill Rapley\, and consists of a food introduction through solid foods. \nThis way of introducing supplementary feeding in the baby is increasingly sought by the parents\, as an alternative to the conventional method of potatoes and soups\, where everything is passed and given by the adult through a spoon. \nIn BLW the baby actively participates in its feeding. It is included in the family meal\, deciding what to eat and when. It is he alone who will take the food to his mouth and experience it. To taste\, to feel its texture with the mouth and the hands. \nWhen adopted by the family\, this method becomes a way of life. Including the baby in the meals\, involves rethinking the family’s diet\, making it healthy and varied.
