History of Luís de Camões Theatre

Friday, March 22nd, 2019 @ 11:00 - 16:30

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 11:00, repeating until Sunday, March 24th, 2019

Free

From March 22 to 24 we will give the floor to all those who have stories to tell about the Luis de Camões Theater and its history. For this, we will transform the Theater into a great classroom, and into a living room to talk.

We started on Friday with an open class organized by the Centro de Estudos de Teatro da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa with specialists in the fields of music, theater, and architecture who will talk about LU.CA, the former Teatro Real de Belém.

During the weekend we’ll open the doors of the building for the visits and the memories and give the floor to those who have passed by. We invited neighbors, actors, directors, players, dancers, spectators and curious people. We will share researches, experiences and life stories, who fell in love here during the dancing matinee and who bought a central stateroom to better see the theatrical act. We want to join the theater’s memories by giving voice to all who want to tell them.
