In 2021 we reached the 12th edition of the Opening of Artists’ Ateliers (AAA).
As an Association, and together with the dozens and dozens of artists who have participated in the AAA over the years, we have covered path(s), built bridges and walked alongside a wide and varied audience.
Our proposal for an open studios initiative is based on the desire to make contemporary creation known, to an audience that appreciates and loves Art and who lives with it regularly, but also to all those who are curious to contact it beyond spaces so-called cultured and elite.
Associação Castelo d’If wants to (continue to) contribute so that anyone, freely and free of charge, has the opportunity to get to know and contact with the works of art that are being created these days in the artists’ studios. Furthermore, we want to provide contact with these artists, in their creative spaces.
And what is already a stabilized event in the Lisbon cultural calendar, has been expanding and leaving the strict area of the city of Lisbon, extending to other nearby places. But this year we’re going further, we’re going to get to know what influences and drives artists from other countries, such as Angola, Brazil, Denmark, Japan, Mozambique and São Tomé. “from far away it is done close”.
On the weekend of October 15th to 17th, get to know the artists of the 12th edition of the AAA up close.
