I love making presents but I used to be not a very good planner: I was used to roaming the town center much more often, looking for inspiration and something funny but also cute to gift my husband. 

Last year already, busy with my second baby (when little did we know being busy was much easier than the current “being lockdown busy”), I opted for printing a nice picture of our family (taken by Kelly Sousa Photographer) also making good use of a big frame that was laying around in our apartment: it came out being an adorable present indeed, and we can enjoy it every day by looking at it. 

For few years we have been gifting experiences or useful things to each other, as we noticed that we use to accumulate too many things that end up taking space in our drawers, mostly underused.

This year going shopping is not the best and most viable option, and many of us in Lisbon are dealing with homeschooling or no school at all: I thought about putting together a list of suggestions for S. Valentine gifts, mostly being experiences or food-related presents that I hope it’s gonna be useful in this current times.

Be present

If you are looking for a locally made present for your loved one, Be Present is the place to look for that: Celine and her team have searched for the best shop in Lisbon and they create lovely gift boxes with different styles and items. For the whole of February, they will sell two different love boxes, with a plant, a heart shapes cookies a notebook, and either a scented candle or a soap, all locally sourced.
